IFF presented an installation by Gary Rough, specifically designed for its new space in Martigues.
Gary Rough is a Scottish artist based in New York. His conceptual and emotional work uses a variety of materials and mediums including sculpture, drawing, video, and painting. The work's confessional nature can make the viewer feel as though they are a voyeur, uncomfortably confronted with Rough's intimate thoughts. This site-specific exhibition consists of all new works, including a wall-drawing realized using gaffer tape. It has been composed in the frenetic and obsessive manner which is characteristic of Rough's work throughout his career.
